Crime Victim Compensation (CVC)

Crime Victim Compensation (CVC) is a Colorado program funded by court fines, not taxes, that helps people affected by crime pay for certain crime-related expenses, including mental health counseling. For survivors of the Evergreen High School Shooting and others critically impacted, including students, faculty, family members, and community members, CVC may provide financial support for care.

Our center can help determine if you qualify, guide you through the application process, and assist with required documentation. This support can reduce financial barriers so you can focus on healing and recovery. If you’re unsure about eligibility, we’re here to answer your questions and help you navigate the process. We also have physical copies of the CVC application available at the center if you prefer to complete it in person, and our team is happy to assist you every step of the way.

Jeffco Online Application (CVC Portal)

The online portal is the standard application used for all Jefferson County CVC submissions. While you are welcome to apply using this method, please note that the system is designed to collect information for a wide range of cases and may request additional details that are not specific to the Evergreen High School (EHS) incident.

Evergreen PDF Application

The PDF application has been specifically tailored to support the Evergreen community in the wake of the EHS incident. It is streamlined to reflect the circumstances of this situation and may be a more straightforward option for applicants.
